Baby Travel System for a Very Small Car!

Posted on

I had bought a new Citroen C1 just before falling pregnant with my second child. The car was great, very economical to run, so I really didn’t want to change it. The down side was the limited space and very small boot. I wanted a first car seat that had Isofix, would clip onto pushchair wheels, with no need to wake baby during transfer. The wheels would need to fit in the tiny boot!

I also wanted the travel system to have a clip on pushchair option that would be suitable when my baby was no longer in the first size car seat to accommodate as she grew, yet still fitting in the really tiny boot!

With all these criteria in mind I was concerned that I wouldn’t find anything to fit. After much research I purchased the Quinny Zapp Xtra 2 and Maxi Cosi CabrioFix car seat and base.

The pushchair folds down easily and the seat for an older baby folds in half, just perfect. I used the pushchair wheels with the car seat attached in the very early days and attached the bigger seat when she reached the maximum weight for the car seat. I am still using the pushchair now 20 months later. It has been the perfect shopping pushchair!
